Mountain West Miniature Horse & Shetland Pony Owners, Incorporated, was formed in 

1991 by a small group of horse lovers interested in promoting the American Shetland

Pony & American Miniature Horse. From a small beginning our membership has grown to 

include memberships from surrounding states as well as Utah,

Each year the club organizes and hosts an American Shetland Pony/ American Miniature

Horse Registry - sanctioned show In Logan, Utah. Due to scheduling conflicts with the

Area Eight show, this show will take place in Tremonton, UT. in 2025. This show enables

members to earn points toward both club and National awards.

 

​Members also participate in various events such as sales, stock shows, and parades.

​

The club is 501 (c) not-for-profit corporation run solely on volunteer help and 

leadership. Many local businesses help with sponsorship support through advertising. ​

​
