Mountain West Miniature Horse & Shetland Pony Owners, Incorporated, was formed in 1991 by a small group of horse lovers interested in promoting the American Shetland Pony & American Miniature Horse.  From a small beginning our membership has grown to include memberships from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado.

 

     Each year the club organizes an American Shetland Pony Club/American Miniature Horse Registry-sanctioned show in Logan, Utah. This show enables members to earn points toward both club and National awards.

 

    Along with the show, the club will be working on many family activities. Stay tuned ......

We also hold the annual Year End Dinner & Awards Party.  Members participate in various events such as sales, stock shows, and parades.

 

   The club is a 501 (c)(5) not-for-profit corporation run solely by volunteer help and leadership. Each year, fundraisers are carried out by the members to help with the cost of the show and other club activities.

 

   Many local businesses also help with show sponsorships in return for advertising in the show program, website, Enewsletter, and Facebook pages.
